The main focus of TAC’s Information Technology department is to support student and teacher learning. This includes offering training courses to teachers and students in the use of technology, managing the implementation of new developments related to technology use, supporting technology applications as applied through the school’s library media program, and coordinating the testing of the 3-D science program’s effectiveness in classroom instruction. In addition to daily hardware maintenance and teacher requests for related assistance, the department oversees the procurement of all materials required to keep the technology program current and up to date. Data entry, student records management, and support given to building the communications programs used among the Foundation’s schools are further examples of areas in which TAC’s Information Technology contributes to the strengthening of the school’s overall program.
