On Friday, September 13th, Tarsus American College community had the privilege of hosting Prof. Dr. Ahmet Arslan, who brought a wealth of knowledge in the world of philosophy and is known for his notable work in this field.

In the session Arslan followed a question-and-answer and conversational style and led an in-depth discussion with TAC students on the role of philosophy in our social and individual lives. Focusing on the question of ‘what is philosophy’, Prof. Arslan emphasized that philosophy is not an isolated discipline, but a tool that shapes individuals’ ways of thinking and views of life and that philosophical thinking improves our understanding of the world and the ability to solve problems.

In the end, this interactive session led by Prof. Arslan was very informative and inspiring for both the students and the school community.
