We commemorate Mustafa Kemal Atatürk with the feelings of devotion, respect, longing and gratitude on the 86th anniversary of his passing. 

 

As Tarsus American College, Tarsus SEV Primary and Middle Schools, we showed our commitment to Ataturk’s values through the Ataturk Memorial Day ceremony in the presence of our teachers, parents, and students.

 

Opened with the remarks by the school principals, the assembly continued with the student performance of Atatürk oratorio and the poem “Thinking of Mustafa Kemal”. The attendees had a chance to see the coverage about Atatürk in the global press and listened to his favorite songs, which enriched the tribute. The various components of the assembly further deepened our loyalty to Atatürk’s ideals and our sense of gratitude.

 

As young generations, we reaffirm our commitment to Atatürk’s principles and reforms, with full awareness of our responsibility to move our country to a brighter future. Preserving the legacy we inherited from our founding leader, we are proceeding in the construction of a more modern, democratic, and an independent Türkiye.
