The traditional Leadership Conference of the SEV American High Schools was successfully hosted on 19-21 December 2024 by Tarsus American College with the participation of heads of school, principals, vice principals and students from American Collegiate Institute, Üsküdar American Academy, and SEV American College.

In the event which had the theme of ‘Meeting of Ideas: The Power of Communicating Across Differences’, the students and administrators of SEV American high schools met in Tarsus for sharing inspiring presentations.

The opening remarks of the Leadership Conference was delivered by Prof. Dr. Güray Erkol, the General Manager of the Health and Education Foundation, who shared valuable feedback on the power of diversity in leadership and the importance of communication skills. The event continued with the leadership workshops facilitated by Adam Benz from the American Consulate and Necati Güler, a TAC graduate and a legendary name in Turkish basketball.

During the conference, the students of SEV American High Schools had the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through workshops and presentations. The sessions facilitated by the student council members in SEV American high schools further reinforced the sharing of ideas as well as team spirit and collaboration.

The Tarsus City Tour on the last day of the event offered participants a taste of the historical and cultural richness of the region.
