TAC’s Destination Imagination Club represented TAC in the technical category of the national-level tournaments of the Destination Imagination (DI), the prominent international creativity, team work and solution development organization. The event took place at the Kuşadası Efes Congress Center on March 12-13, 2016.
The TAC students were supported by the TAC Principal Günseli Yüksel, TAC Business Director Mustafa Özünlü and Mathematics Department Chair Katibe Karakurt. The students participating were Alper Yavuz, Asya Tokbey, Cahitcan Uzman, Hina Utkan, Gökçe Gürlek, Beste Özyürekoğlu, and Çetin Çelikyılmaz. Together with their teacher advisor Tuba Güler and the school support team, they prepared well at the TAC workshop leading up to the tournament.
The event saw the participation of 2500 people in 278 teams and six different categories, including Technical, Scientific, Fine Arts, Improvisation, Structure and Community Service. The tournament’s most important objectiveis to improve lifetime skills for the students. In their teams they turn their innovative and creative solutions into a fun, theatrical presentation relying only on each other. During the process the students develop the skills of rapid thinking, decision making, time management, problem-solving and teamwork, and all in a safe and fun environment.
