Sports Festival Excitement At Tarsus American College
The SEV American High Schools (Tarsus American College, Üsküdar American Academy, American Collegiate Institute of Izmir , and SEV American College), with an educational experience of one and a half centuries, met at the SEV Sports Festival hosted by Tarsus American College.
The event, which brings together students from SEV American Colleges at the SEV Sports Festival for the second time for a wide variety of sports activities, was hosted by Tarsus American College. The Headmaster of Tarsus American College, Mr. Andrew Leathwood said “school is not all about grades and classes”.
“Sports Is Our Tradition”
“As a requirement of our educational philosophy, we support athletic, arts and community service activities. SEV Sports Festival is the confirmation of the same vision. Sports is a tradition at SEV Schools. The most important reason for organizing the SEV Sports Festival, which has now become a traditional event, is to improve and reinforce this culture of sports. It is also designed to build friendships and connections between the schools”.
SEV Sports Festival which is attended by 48 students, 12 from each school (6 boys+6 girls) was comprised of basketball, volleyball and football games. The students also took part in a variety of other fun and engaging team building activities. and attended the celebrations for Children’s Day on April 23rd.
Many thanks should go to the PE departments of the four schools, who worked together in a spirit of cooperation to organise the event.
