TAC Art Students In Prep Explore “Renaissance”
The art of the Renaissance period cannot be taught in isolation, and thus the art students were involved in an intensive two week-instruction where they found out more about the history, technical discoveries, brain drains, literature, anatomy, sculpture, music, and humanism characterized by Renaissance. And in line with the TACART tradition, we applied some examples to our classroom products, and supported student learning with documentaries on history.
We started working on the ceiling murals with the enjoyment of painting in fresh air, the school garden. We were inspired by the etherial artwork of Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel when designing each tile.
We are looking forward to sharing the results of this exploration with the school community in our exhibition.
