External Assessment Tools And Mock-Exams at TAC
The exams planned by the academic departments, i.e. the internal exams of the school, are administered according to the exam calendar determined at the beginning of the academic year.
In addition to these exams, ÖZDEBİR, the best known Turkey-wide mock exam for the YGS, is administered to all students at TAC, except the Prep level.
These external mock-exams provide TAC students the ability to compare their current performance and preparedness for the actual university selection and placement exams with other test takers nationwide.
In grade 12, YGS and LYS mock exams are given regularly from the beginning of the academic year and will continue in the second semester.
The scoring of the exams is completed promptly, with the results communicated to relevant departments for analysis. The results of these exams also include an itemized analysis, identifying individual topics where a given student has learning gaps, and action plans which address these gaps are developed through meetings with the student.
These exams are obtained from reliable institutions which have many years of experience in the area of YGS-LYS, exposing students to a variety of question types and levels of difficulty. Those test takers who demonstrate the capability to solve these questions are successful in the actual exam sponsored by the ÖSYM (Post-Secondary Student Selection and Placement Center). And those students who struggle address these challenge areas with the help of the school administration, counseling department and teachers, and take one step closer to their post-secondary goals.
