From the first day of the 2016-2017 academic year, TAC’s Student Council takes the initiative to organize many school activities and supports others to promote a democratic approach and experiences for TAC students.
The Student Council also takes part in many community service projects, acting on the principle of “all of us are one”. Seeing the school’s cleaning and security staff a part of their family, they prepared El Eid and New Year’s packages for them and their families between the months of October and December.
TAC’s student leaders also joined the “Leadership Conference” held in October at one of the sister schools, American Collegiate Institute in İzmir, where they presented their activities and community service activities which reflect the school motto “Leaders for Turkey, Leadership for the World”. In December, they organized the printing of the school calendar for 2017, which feature photos from various school activities, for sale around New Year’s in order to generate funds for the community service projects. Again in December, they threw a New Year’s party for the children from the neighboring school with many colorful presents prepared for individul child, with the hope of putting a smile on their faces.
