Turkish National Championship
After being the region’s Tennis Champions in the last weeks, TAC’s both tennis teams have qualified to attend the Turkish National Championship, the highest level in the high school sports system.
The members of TAC’s girls tennis team, İlayda Söyümez, Elif Naz Akkaya, Selin Keşaf, Yaprak Uğurses, İdil Bayık and Eda Altuntaş, qualified for the national games for the second year.
And the members of the male tennis team, who made it to the Turkish finals for the first time this year, were Emre İnal, Yüksel Yalçın, Bora Tezer and Gazi Kaymak.
At the end of the games, TAC’s girls tennis team was placed 5th, while the boys team was placed 9th in Turkey.
The young tennis players of TAC continue to practice, preparing for next year’s tournaments, for which they have set themselves the goal of bringing the Turkish National Championship trophy in tennis to TAC.
