Turkish Veterans Indoor Athletics Championships
School doctor Ali Cerrahoglu and Headmaster Andrew Leathwood once again represented the Tarsus Schools and SEV Foundation at the Turkish Veterans Indoor Athletics Championships in Istanbul on March 11 and 12. Both represented our schools well, with Ali finishing first in the high jump to take the gold medal and Andrew winning gold in the 3000m and placing second in the shot put to take the silver. They continue to hope students will follow their lead and live active and healthy lives until they are old like them.
The next competition will be the Turkish Outdoor Championships in Izmir in July, and then possibly the European Championships in Denmark in early August or the Balkan Championships in late September.
