School-Parent Interaction Meeting on “Conflict Resolution”

Conflict, in simple terms, is a disagreement between people and/or groups who have opposing opinions. Conflict is an inevitable part of human life and all interactions. People experience conflict situations at home, at work, in the street, at school, etc. So, during a time of conflict, what kind of behaviors do we exhibit in our relationships due to our character and our experiences?

The third school-parent interaction meeting organized by the Counseling Department this year, on March 29th, focused on this question, as well as strategies for conflict resolution.

In addition to the informative seminar, the participants were given a “Conflict Resolution Personality Inventory”. The meeting continued with role-play and discussions on how conflict manifests itself in relationships.

It was great to have a chance to enligthen parents about this issue and possibly improve their skills through this interactive meeting.
