TAC Students Hone Their Mathematical Skills at Pascal, Cayley and Fermat Contests
This year, a total of 91 students from Prep, grade 9, 10 and 11 level took the external benchmark tests of Pascal, Cayley and Fermat organized by the prestigious Waterloo University of Canada. These tests provide TAC students with the opportunity to see their place in terms of English and mathematical skills compared to students in other countries.
At the Pascal Contest, where 30598 students worldwide and 5665 students at the international platform competed this year, grade 9 students, Buse Orak and Kıyam Yiğit Akbulak, were awarded medals. Selin Keşaf, Buse Orak and Kıyam Yiğit Akbulak also made it to the honours list. Also taking the exam were Prep students, Aybeniz Ece Komitoğlu, Zeynep Ekin Yaycı, Deniz İstanbullu, Sude Naz Arıcı and Melisa Aykurt, and grade 9 students, Venüs Şahin, Boran Altuntop, Evrim Uygar Göl, Elif Rana Acımış, Bera Micozkadıoğlu, Kaan Yılmaz, Hasan Berhan Demirhan, Mehmet Alp Sözüdüz, Yüksel Yalçın, Ali Ata Ediz, Ayser Selcen İleri, Merve Bostan, Aleyna Öğretmenoğlu and Ege Yüceel who achieved a ranking in the global top 25% percentile, qualifying for a “certificate of distinction”.
At the Cayley Contest, where 24499 students worldwide and 5276 students at the international platform competed this year, grade 10 student, Nida Aktaş, was awarded a medal. Emirhan Nasıf and Nida Aktaş also made it to the honours list. Also taking the exam, grade 10 students, Mert Yiğitbaşı, Bertil Örtlek, Melisa Karakullukçu, Sena Erdinç, Berke Can, Murat Sun, Umay Nursal, Billur Arıkan, Ece Özer, Emre Yapıcı and Zehra İdil Güdemez achieved a ranking in the global top 25% percentile, qualifying for a “certificate of distinction”.
At the Fermat Contest, where 21029 students worldwide and 4432 students at the international platform competed this year, grade 11 student, Sezer Yiğit Uçan, was awarded a medal. Also taking the exam, grade 11 students, Hazar Güyıldar, Sezer Yiğit Uçan, Hüseyin Kara and Buket Gök achieved a ranking in the global top 25% percentile, qualifying for a “certificate of distinction”.
