New Peer Counselors Awarded their Certificates

The most recent “Peer Counselors Training”, which was aimed to support student well-being by improving effective communication skills and by equipping vounteeers with the right strategies to help their peers, was completed in June. Our peer counselors were quite active and successful during their ten-week programme.

The peer counselors attended the orientation for boarding students this year where they found the opportunity to put their learning into practice - and to have it certified as they were later awarded certificates during a ceremony at the school. During the event, the importance of the role of peer counselors for TAC was once again stressed by our Headmaster, Mr. Leathwood, Principal, Ms. Günseli Yüksel, and our school guidance counselors. Principal Yüksel expressed the importance she personally places on this project, and she congratulated the students for participating.

Each year, the peer counseling project at TAC has seen growth in the number of students who volunteer to provide academic, social and emotional support to both their peers and to younger students.

We congratulate all students who are now certified and wish them continued success.
