TAC International College Day- 2017

On October 11^th Tarsus American College once again hosted university admissions representatives for its annual International College Day event. This year we hosted 18 university representatives from Canada, USA, the UK, The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Qatar, and Hong Kong. The event spanned the full day and allowed for students to engage in small group sessions as well as an open fair in the court yard.

The day started with all high school students and faculty gathering in the new auditorium for an opening session on the various application processes; such as Common App, UCAS, OUAC, and Studielink. What followed were three sessions designed for each class group to meet with an individual university representative in order to hear about topics such as application essays, engineering schools, financial aid, liberal arts school, as well as sessions on specific universities. 

While these university representatives shared their knowledge our TAC student council members assisted in ensuring the representatives knew where to go and how to get there. Our student council members played an important role in the success of the day and our guests complemented their efforts all day long. By the end of the day’s events our high school students had gathered information on numerous programs, the various admissions requirements, and left with an expanded understanding of potential post-secondary options. We encourage students and parents to continue their university research by using our Naviance program and/or scheduling time to meet with the International University Counseling office to learn more.
