Another Community Service Initiative from TAC’s Second Foreign Language Department
Our school attaches great importance to social responsibility projects and on every occasion encourages our students and teachers to design and implement various projects in this broad field.
One of these projects was carried out successfully under the leadership of a group of students and Mersin Karayakup Secondary School teacher, Sabiha Açıkbaş, guided by our Second Foreign Language Department. This project supported the participation of a group of sports-loving students from Karayakup Secondary School, in the Erdemli district of Mersin, in the International Mersin Marathon held on December 3rd, 2017 in Mersin. The costs of taking these students from their village school to the marathon area and providing them with lunch were covered by the proceeds from the bake sales organized by students on campus during lunch periods.
The young participants of the marathon shared their happiness about being able to participate in this event with sincere letters of appreciation addressed to the TAC students who generously gave their time.
