A New Year’s Present From TAC Mimesis Club to our Sister School Students
The TAC Mimesis Club prepared a memorable New Year’s present for the young students from Kargılı and Kelahmet villages of Tarsus who were invited to TAC to have some fun.
The children’s play, that the Mimesis Club prepared with great effort, was staged in the Stickler Auditorium where the children were invited to dress up as animal characters. The audience was very impressed by the colorful environment and very likeable characters in the play. Following the story of a skinny elephant, who was alienated by others because of his physical characteristics, and a short giraffe called, "Filo and Zürf" that ended with beautiful songs, the children continued to have fun at the the New Year’s party specially organized for them.
"Filo and Zürf" was developed entirely by the TAC Mimesis Club from its screenplay to its direction as well as the poster and costumes. And, of course, the students were not alone on this sweet and challenging journey. They received the dedicated help of Sibel Hanım, Tarsus SEV teacher, who helped with the decor right up to the last minute, Tarsus SEV English Teacher, Gürkan Bey, who prepared the music, and music teacher, Nilgün Hoca. Thanks to everyone who contributed to making the performance a success!
