TAC’s 12th Grader Umut Barış Özen Receives DoE Silver Award
Umut Barış Özen, who has completed the "Silver" category of the Duke of Edinburgh International Youth Award Program, offered at TAC since 2012, joined the XIX. National Silver Award Ceremony organized by DoEIA TR at the Cemal Süreya Exhibition and Activity Center on 13 December 2017, hosted by Ataşehir Municipality, Istanbul. Özen, who joined the event with TAC’s Activity Coordinator Gülay Damar, received his certificate and pin during the assembly.
Umut Barış, one of the 154 participants of the Silver category who joined DoE award program from across Turkey, received his certificate from Ms. Sultan Yilmaz, one of the executives of the DoE National Committee, and Ms. L. Nilüfer Yılmaz, member of DoEIA-TR national committee. Present at the ceremony were school heads, award leaders, supervisors and parents of certificate awardees.
Umut Barış was congratulated at TAC on December 18 for successfully completing this program and was presented his certificate by Andrew Leathwood, Head of School, and Günseli Yüksel, School Principal.
