Tarsus American College Hosts the 2nd SEV Schools Second Foreign Language Conference
The second installment of Second Foreign Languages Conference of SEV American Colleges, first one in this region, was hosted by Tarsus American College on February 16-17, 2018.
In this sense, the conference was held for professional development and information sharing among German and French language teachers from all SEV schools. The first session facilitated by Dr. Selçuk Can was titled "THE NEUROBIOLOGY OF LEARNING: FOREIGN LANGUAGE ACQUISITION".
All attendees were greeted to the conference hall by the opening remarks of Principal Mrs. Günseli YÜKSEL, and Mrs. Tuba BAYKAL, the Chair of the Second Foreign Language Department. After the opening assembly, all guest teachers joined the workshops in previously organized classrooms. During the seminar, different instructional methods were shared with the teachers.
Several publishing houses, experienced in the printing of books and materials used in language teaching, opened booths on TAC campus, promoting the most current products to the language teachers in this region.
The conference ended by the remarks of Mrs. Tuba BAYKAL and presenting the certificates to the keynote speaker and the participants.
