SEV Schools English Teachers Conference
The SEV Schools English Teachers Conference, joined by teachers of English working in the schools affiliated with the Health and Education Foundation, was hosted by SAC on March 16-17, 2018.
This year's conference theme was "Flexibility in English classes”. This principle is applied to English lessons because we have to take into account the possibility that even in a well-planned lesson, unexpected things can happen. It was discussed that this can be caused by logistical matters, such as the disruption to the course plan due to a class coming late from a physical education lesson, to the need to create an instant activity in order to explore answers to interesting questions that come up from students during the lesson. It may also be caused by the need to repeat a certain language pattern during a novel analysis.
To this end, plenary and parallel sessions of the conference explored effective lesson planning methods as well as the techniques and approaches behind those.
