New Destinations for TAC Students to Explore History And Science:
Italy and Switzerland
TAC’s 2018 Field Trip to Italy and Switzerland, organized under the guidance of our history teacher, Hasan Turgut, and our physics teacher, Orhan Vatansever, served as a very useful opportunity to expand the horizons of 22 TAC students attending this trip.
Rome, Pisa, Florence, Modena and Milano in Italy was visited during the first three days of the trip along with the historic sites including bridges and cathedrals in these cities, highlighted by the Renaissance art and architecture. The trip to the city of Lausanne in Switzerland, and the hotel where the most important treaty for the Republic of Turkey was signed, provided students with the opportunity for an on-site review of the circumstances surrounding their home country at that time.
This trip to Italy and Switzerland enabled students not only to gain on-site learning in history, but also to be at the places where boundaries of engineering and physics were pushed, such as Ferrari and CERN, and for students who are interested in these disciplines, to learn new things by having fun at the same time. In this way, our students were able to enjoy an in-depth exploration into history and science.
We hope that such rewarding trips, which help long-term learning, continue at TAC!
