In this emotional journey back into those years, Önder Yol talked about thestrong contributions of TAC on his life today. "This school holds a very important place in the person I have grown to become. I owe the self-discipline and teamwork skills to the habit of sports which I have developed as a student at TAC. During my education I was a national swimmer and basketball player. At a time when even Adana did not have an indoor swimmimng pool, I played in national team 128 times. I was the first athlete to come from a city which did not have an indoor swimmimng pool".
TAC HAS PLAYED A GREAT ROLE IN MY SUCCESS
Önder Yol explained that in TAC, almost all students were involved in sports "600 of 700 students would get up at five a.m. and do sports exercises and in the afternoon after classes ended everyone would again do their sports routines. This habit I have developed in TAC contributed teamwork and self-discipline to me, and I still get up early in the morning for my sports exercises, like in the old days".
Yol, who explained the seperate advantages of being a boarder at TAC said "being raised with peers coming from different backgrounds and cultures taught us a lot about helping each other, sharing, and standing on our own feet". Expressing his happiness to be in Tarsus, Yol told that he feels indebted to the city that he has studied, and that he is always ready to contribute in any capacity.
