The New University Exam System Introduced to Parents

On Wednesday, September 26th, the school hosted a parent information session about YKS system.  The majority of grade 12 parents attended the conference and received detailed information about the operation of the Basic Aptitude Test (TYT) and Area Competency Test (AYT).  Information was also shared about the impact of the performances in each course on the calculation of score types. The testing system, which underwent major changes last year, was explored in depth, with the advantages and disadvantages addressed. Our parents also had the opportunity to ask questions about the new system.

TYT and AYT are not the kinds of exams for which one can cram for during their senior year only; they require a diligent and extensive preparation process. Setting goals is key in order to keep motivation high in this long term preparation. Goals should be set for university, program and net score levels. This ‘long marathon’ requires the active participation of all family members. All candidates need to take mock exams regularly and in a systematic way. In the first stage, ensuring maximum concentration and discovering their personal styles is more important than just answering questions.

We hope that all students reach their goals at the end of this rigorous process.
