Our Oktoberfest’18
The Oktoberfest event, which we hosted for the ninth time with a different theme this year, took place on October 11, 2018. Starting with the presentations of Nisan Zeynep Kurşun and Alpay Özküçük, the event continued with the competition called “Die Tollen Vier” (The Fantastic Four) prepared by İzmir DAS AKADEMIE. The students who arrived at the Stickler Auditorium were divided into two groups, each involved in various activities within the contest. The winning group members received their awards at the end of this fun learning opportunity. The energy of Oktoberfest was felt not only in the Stickler Auditorium, but also in the Unity Building’s entrance, cafeteria, and even in the school bell playing the day. The lunch menu included sausage, potato salad, red cabbage salad and Berliner dessert. The aim of the event was to expose students to a different culture, helping promote intercultural understanding.
