Bringing Outdoor Experience to School Life
TAC hosted the 4th Annual Prep Campout on Friday, September 21, 2018. The event, organized by the Physical Education Department, involved 124 students and 27 teachers who spend the night in the school garden. After dismissal on Friday, the school garden turned into a campsite with campers setting up tents. After unpacking, students began to compete in physical games including relay races, ball popping, sack races and tug of war. For dinner, students enjoyed barbeque followed by a karaoke sing-along, late night football matches, and volleyball games. Towards midnight, students continued enjoying the outdoors eating popcorn, ice cream, and, soup by the campfire. Afterward, the group called it a night and moved into tents. The morning began bright and early at 7 AM. After breakfast, campers dismantled tents and cleaned their surroundings. The students left the school having spent the evening building new friendships and looking forward to the next camp out.
The Prep Campout would not be possible without the support of the Administration, P.E. and Prep Departments who together treated the students to a great experience
