Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sungur, who presented a lecture on men-women relations at his alma mater, Tarsus American College emphasized that "some women and men are from Mars and Venus. That is, there are differences between the two genders, but the two are equal. The important thing here is to be able to tolerate these differences. It is only when we are able to tolerate them that we do not wake up in the middle of the night with a deep frustration that we are not understood!

Tarsus American College, one of the most prestigious and long standing institutions of Turkey, hosted Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sungur, the lecturer at Marmara University's Psychiatry Department, who has wide acclaim in his field of cognitive therapy and marriage therapy.  Prof. Sungur, who graduated from Tarsus American College in 1974, met with TAC students and parents in the historic campus where he spent many years. Prof. Sungur, who talked about relations between men and women, said "Men and women are different but equal. As they come to accept each other with these differences, the problems in relations will be resolved more easily".
