50 Years with TAC

September 11, 2001 is chronicled as an unfortunate date in history for the whole world. However, September 11, engraved in my mind way earlier as a fond memory, is a day of sheer happiness for me. I can hear my classmates reminding me of the birthday of Salim Erdem (TAC 1975 graduate). Of course, celebrating Salim's birthday is also very important, however this date, to put it more precisely, September 11, 1968 has a different meaning for me.

Yes, it is the day when I first walked through TAC’s gate. It is the day when Stickler first embraced us with its splendor and kindness, which are still intact today. I realized when I first stepped into that campus that the energy and the environment inside was very unique. When you fill your lungs with this air and store this energy in your whole body, you transform into a superhero and nothing seems unachievable. Therefore, since my graduation in 1975, whenever I have struggled with something, when I have needed support to achieve something, Stickler was the place to go. I come to the school, store the energy, fill my lungs with its air,and prepare myself for all kinds of challenges in the outside world.

I visited TAC on September 11, 2018 as well. I was accompanied by dear Hakan Mutlutürk (another TAC 75 graduate) and we took this snapshot to commemorate the 50th anniversary of my first arrival at TAC. Of course, it was a very special day which, of course, closed with kebab, spicy şalgam and Tarsusi coffee in the evening.

So glad and fortunate to have Stickler and TAC!
