A Fair Full Of Books
CNR Mersin Book Fair opened its doors to book lovers from November 28 to December 6, and was visited by Tarsus American College students on December 2nd.
The visit was organised by TAC’s Turkish Language and Literature Department, which always tries to emphasize the importance of reading to the students, exposing them to the wonderful worlds available within the pages of a story. The focus of the visit, which centered on the book and reading, was that “there is a book for every taste and character, which meets the expectations of every reader”, and that “reading is necessary to get to know more about life”. While the students filled their bags with the books they bought for their own leisure time, they also bought many children’s books for the upcoming visit by TAC students to the Children Oncology ward at the local hospital.
