“The European Language Certificates” at TAC
On May 6, the Second Foreign Language Department administered the TELC A2 exam at TAC, which provided students in Grades 9 -10 students to test their learning of German this year.
“The European Language Certificate,” provided by TELC Gmhb, is based in Frankfurt am Main and is authorized to offer foreign language certificates in 11 different languages. TELC works in partnership with the German Public Instruction Association (“Deutsch Volkshochschule Verband”). A member of the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE), prepares exams according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or CEFR.
TAC students were happy to have the opportunity right on campus to take the exam, and the teachers of the Second Foreign Language Department were excited to assess students. Throughout the year, teachers prepared students for the exam, which tests four language skills, during weekly lessons, and the once a week club period. The Second Foreign Language Department at TAC wishes students further success in their pursuit of learning a second foreign language.
