A New Approach to Language Learning
On May 21st, TAC’s German teachers introduced a new teaching strategy to their Grade 9 classroom teaching through gamification.
Facilitating learning of German, Mrs. Tuba BAYKAL and Mrs. Ahu TERECİ DURSUN conducted a series of Station Games in the school garden, exploring topics from German culture such as the Berlin Wall and grammar topics.
German teachers Tuba BAYKAL and Ahu TERECİ DURSUN, the coordinators of the project, explained the need to use modern approaches in instruction based on student-centered games, making the educator a facilitator in the learning process, rather than a ‘teacher.’
