This long-standing question which has been posed for so many years, have evolved and improved through every historical period, every political power, every world view and expectation. Prof. Dr. Kanat, who determined the framework of his speech addressing grade 10 and 11 from this perspective, explored the definition of history, the stages it has taken to date, and the role of the historian, stressing the fact that “history is the memory of a society, and a person who loses their memory would lose everything”.
