TAC Graduation 2019
Tarsus American College's 2019 seniors received their diplomas in the Commencement Ceremony, set in the beautiful backdrop of the TAC campus on June 20.
The ceremony saw the participation of the SEV Foundation representatives, TAC Alumni Association, TAC administrators, teachers, and parents.
The keynote speaker of this year's ceremony was a TAC’73 graduate, Ambassador of Turkey to Russia, Mr. Hüseyin Diriöz. Following the remarks of Mrs. Günseli Yüksel, the principal and Mr. Andrew Leathwood, Head of School, the certificates of top ranking students, Emirhan Nasıf, Mert Yiğitbaşı and Melis Vural, were presented. Dr. Ertan Dumanlı Exemplary Student Award was presented to Mr. Hüseyin Diriöz to a grade 11 student, Ege Yüceel, selected by the panel of teachers. The valedictorian of the Class of 2019, Emirhan, also received a monetary prize of 3.000 USD, sponsored by Mr. Mehmet Yaltır, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at SEV, in memory of his late father, Ahmet Yaltır. After the Student Council handover ceremony, the 2019 graduates received their graduation certificates. Finally, the group moved to the steps of the historic Stickler Building to throw their caps, saluting the campus as graduates for the first time.
