Staying True

The TAC ISTA Club represented the school well at the ISTA Festival in The Hague, March 19-23.  The seven student participants (Senna Arman, Işıl Selekoğlu, Kaan Şıreler, Ayşe Yumru, Mustafa Fatif Varkara, Şeref Tayga, and Defne Canatar) were accompanied by Ms. Johnson.

The festival’s theme was “To Thine Own Self Be True” and students used this theme as a starting point for the creation of divisive theater from a variety of modes including mime, traditional Balinese dance, and traditional Japanese butoh theater.

While at times, students were pushed out of their comfort zones during the workshops, by the end of the event every student had embraced the theme of the event and worked toward making the finale showcase a success.
