In the Second Philosophy Talks; Based on F. Bacon's "New Atlantis"

 

 

 

In the second “philosophy talks” we organized on Thursday, 8 April, we explored the concepts of "state and utopia". Based on F. Bacon's "New Atlantis" utopia, we questioned whether an ideal system is possible . All 11th grade students were invited to the talk where we addressed the questions “What are the criteria for the ideal system as envisioned by liberals, socialists and social justice advocates?”, “What are the possible factors which led the philosophers to design utopias?”, “Can the places described in utopias really exist?”, “For which questions can utopias be the answer?”
