Science Meets Scholarship at TAC
Tarsus American College (TAC) will host a panel titled "Science in the Future" on Friday, February 18. The panel where the speakers will be Prof. Dr. Güray Erkol, General Manager of the Health and Education Foundation and Prof. Dr. Altuğ Özpineci (TAC'94), Dean of Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Middle East Technical University (METU), will be held during sixth period, starting at 12:20 in Talas Auditorium. The session will also include the introduction of a scholarship to be sponsored by TAC'68 alumni to be awarded to TAC graduates who gain admission to the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of METU by the Dean of the Faculty.
In the panel titled “Science in the Future” which will be joined by TAC’s 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders, the students will also have the chance to ask questions following the remarks of Prof. Dr. Erkol and Prof. Dr. Özpineci on developments in science. Following the introduction of the scholarship, the final part will be the “Virtual Project Fair”, which comprises short videos where students explain the projects they have designed within the science and technology clubs.
