About Us
The TAC Writing Center was established in 2024 with the mission:
The TAC Writing Center seeks to ensure that all students and community members are supported in developing high level academic and research writing skills by providing quality resources and guidance on any writing project from class assignments to action research to application materials for higher education programs.
The goals of the Center include:

Support grade 12 students with their university application materials

Support all students in all programs with writing long-term projects and research papers

Support the Academic committee in assisting students struggling with academic integrity in their writing

Support students with application materials for summer programs, competition entry, and extracurricular activities
-
Support community members with CV and Resume writing
-
Support teachers in writing recommendation letters for university applications and internships
-
Support teachers in writing instruction in various academic disciplines
-
Support teachers and other community members in constructing action research papers and application materials for continuing education programs

Collect data and feedback on community writing needs and interests for future planning

Provides workshops based on community needs (e.g. resume writing in English and Turkish)
The Center is led by the Writing Center Coordinator with the support of the school leadership team & an experienced team of volunteer faculty and staff members.
TAC students/community members may request writing assistance from the Center by making an appointment or may use the writing center without an appointment during walk-in hours:

Creating research questions for community members

Writing papers for community members

Proofreading, correcting all grammar errors in a written work

Creating application materials on behalf of community members
